Fernway Wristlet & Lanyard: Macrame Pattern (PDF)

Knot your own matching wristlet and lanyard: a slim, flat square-knot strap with a spiral twist at each end, gathered at a single brass clasp. Both pieces are made exactly the same way, so once you've made one, the other comes easily.

This is a beginner-friendly pattern using four knots: lark's head, half knot, square knot and gathering knot. Each knot is explained in a knot guide with diagrams.

You'll need:

3 mm cotton macrame cord (about 20 yd for both pieces), 2 mm cotton cord for the wraps, two 1" (25 mm) swivel snap hooks, a 1" split key ring, fabric glue and a small crochet hook.
