About the Maker

Angela is the maker behind Merino Mint, based in Newboro, Ontario. She creates multi-media wool tapestries using frame-loom weaving, embroidery, and felting, alongside a line of natural skincare — soap, herbal salves, deodorant, and botanical skincare — made from local, wild-foraged, and home-grown ingredients.

Her fibre background runs deep: she spent years hand-sewing historical garments in linen, cotton, and wool, and a life-size photo of her family wearing her handmade clothing is on display at Nancy Island Historic Site. Her skincare practice spans nearly thirty years, most recently under the name Charleston Botanicals.
